In Louboutin’s Shoes - The Documentary
Yesterday I found myself with a few hours of quiet time to catch up on outstanding admin, flick through the latest fashion mags and casually peruse Netflix. I came across another fashion doco (https://www.netflix.com/au/title/80179069) I hadn’t seen and was intrigued to see what it was about. The blurbed stated it was an up close look into the world of famous shoes designer Christian Louboutin.
And I recalled reading an article (https://www.google.com.au/amp/footwearnews.com/2015/fashion/designers/christian-louboutin-movie-51064/amp/) some time ago, stating it was a an unmissable and “real eye opener in to the life of the charming but demanding perfectionist”.
However, it felt a little superficial, and more like a promotional venture, rather than a candid glimpse behind the curtain. It often had an outtake or rather unfinished feel to it, and I was left feeling underwhelmed with a sense something more paramount was about to be revealed.
I guess it did fill in an hour of my time, but I probably could have had a nap.
Make up your own mind. I would love to hear your thoughts!!
