As I continue to research and educate myself on the fashion industry, it is apparent the demands, the impact and lasting affects we all make on the industry as a whole. As a stylist, I make myself aware of the contributions, both positive and negative, I make and how I can change my footprint, and encourage others to do the same.

I am constantly searching for new domestic and international initiatives, which focus on sustainability, ethical fashion and smart textiles.

This week, during my endless search, I came across States of Undress documentary on the SBS. Host Hailey Gates travels the world to attend Fashion Week in some of the world's most remote areas, to discovers the standards of beauty, fashion and style.

Gates explores the political, social and cultural issues including gender and race, and also sheds some light on the often ignored issues of the fashion industry.

This doco is insightful, honest, profound and totally addictive. I can't get enough. See for yourself!!
